" April is the cruellest month
breeding lilacs out of the dead landmixing memory and desire
stirring dull roots with spring rain " T S Eliot
april leaves today
i don't want to say goodbye
a weary poet replete with verse
will now hibernate under a fur rug
and emerge in the spring
a rockstar across the ocean
found her broken bits
strewn along the shore line
polished and pieced them together
with care and love
she will always remember him
with gratitude and affection

A stranger from yesterday
ReplyDeleteFrom another season
Across the ocean
Not far away
Chiseled gently
And the rock found the lamb
When next by his sea
A pebble he'll find
Place it his his cave
For his autumnal friend
And keep it safe
Until her spring returns
