Rememberances of Things Recent

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/12CCE01txhw?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

how can a week
elastic time
feel like  a year

i miss you guys
playing chess in the street
sleeping outstretched
on the footpaths
silver on brown
air thick with cloves

roaming around
hot steamy nights
everyone waving
white sand floors
in casablanca bars
patterned gold leaf

the minimart
and all its wonders
security guards
armed and smiling
guarding the ice cream
marco sympatico
 the zanzibar

swimming at night
watching kites
silhouetted against the moon
arak madu

you with butterflies
you
it's your birthday
today
i'm so tired
i can barely remember
my name
yet i remember this

  4. Very clever play on Proust. You achieve the same effect with your sensory details of good times that occured not so long ago. I felt like I was in Casablana or some such exotic venue even before you mentioned it. Enjoyed this very much.
