Rondolet

Dverse

AbAabbA

La Douleur Exquise

it's not easy
pretending my love is on lease
it's not easy
being indifferent, breezy
nonchalant desperate for peace
is this torment never to cease
it's not easy

i'll write a book
in erotic  difficult verse
i'll write a book
to get my sweet self off the hook
expunge you in  words very terse
making a fortune for my purse
i'll write a book

i'll fall in love
with someone who is not a boor
i'll fall in love
with he who calls me darling dove
you wont hear from me anymore
i wont be knocking at your door
i'll fall in love

pretending is never easy...esp in matters of the heart...

  5. Like your story and sentiment here. -- go on and renew

  6. All three verses are strong. This form definitely lends itself to your message, and your voice comes through clearly. I second Bjorn's thought: go and renew.

  7. Very well done! There's no point in going through a troubled relationship if you can't fatten your purse from it. Nice!

  10. Just kick the twerp into touch and love the man you're with .... simple really. It's an act of will as much as emotion. The torment comes from holding on - let go!

Ah, but then you are a poet!

    1. And you are not ....Poetry is very whimsical in the stream of consciousness full of riddles.....not always autobiographical..only the poet knows and the rest is the reader's interpretation or perceived truth.
Most of the stuff is fantasy to fit a form based on personal experiences or life observations. So there...Duckie:)

    2. Ah, but we are all poets and I do know this. Why not 'spring clean' the psyche?

(Do not 'Duckie' me, my good woman. I am a proud Dodo and there are few us remaining.)
