" Always For The First Time"
Dverse Dada prompt by Charles Miller
My finding the secret
It's a honey dew hunt
In a frenzy
My wife has buttocks of sandstone and asbestos
You pretend not to know I'm watching you
My wife of eyes with water to be drunk in prison
Wow, the buttocks certainly caught my attention! : )
ReplyDeleteyes me too..tis not often a husband writes about his wife's buttocks in such solid terminology so to speak:)
ReplyDeleteThose buttocks sounds really scary... Would love to know about the method you used.
ReplyDeleteI use the Madame de Nova method...random hit and miss...instead of cutting scissors attack the text with a knife, preferably a fish knife:)
ReplyDeleteAnswered in the style of true Dadaist!
Deletea honey dew hunt...ha, sounds fun...though the butt....hmm...smiles...the end was surreal...the eyes, maybe because of the pic...only in prison eh? smiles.
ReplyDeleteThose last two lines are incredibly sinister--especially jarring after the laugh in the previous line. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteThe description of the wife is dark and chilling ~ Like the random words ~
ReplyDeleteVivid visceral images that complement the image really well. Do you mind sharing your method and source text?
ReplyDeleteI loved the line It's a honey dew hunt... very eclectic imagery, surrealist.. alliterative, and Dadaist. What a great poem here. -Mike
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you Mike. I have always fancied my self as a sort of born again dadaist:)
ReplyDeleteTres excellente!
ReplyDeleteMy wife of eyes with water to be drunk in prison - brilliant close!
Anna :o]
