Driver

he weaves his way
with artistry through
the mayhem driving by instinct
where the only road rule is
not to have an accident

madame is eyeing off
all the stone and glass
sculpture she covets
 giant displays
on the the roadside

the phone rings
it's him
she tries to be jolly
cheerfully chatting
 the driver without
much English senses

she signs off
looks over at him
he knows
tears are streaming
down his face
