Merry Christmas Dverse

i must be getting blind as well as old
where is this planet  dverse i am told

i don't recall ever visiting it before
in all the years i 've had this job of yore

the bag is full of light and weightless gifts
can't imagine  if they're empty or the senders
were just pissed

i'll peek inside, something i never do
curiosity has the better of me, and you my readers
should know too

golly, these are boxes of nothing else but words
variegated  striped like the exotic feathers of birds

there's no accounting for some folk's  strange and esoteric tastes
let's hope these wordy gifts are well received and never go to waste

Merry Christmas To All
