Morning Ritual

Dverse

to the divertissement of
tinkling teacups  crockery cacophony
he tip toes through muddled mess
creating miracles- culinary
magic moments concocted quickly
through yawns  - signalling a new day

she slowly blinks , orchid jars  jonquils
picture perfect against a basalt blue
sky ,sips tea ,sighs -sleepy eyed satisfied
serenity scrawled blue biro'd across her smile

  1. had to look up biro...interesting...rather like serenity scrawled on the face as well...and hey, having a chef...all the better...

  6. Bjorn said just what I was going to write. The words "taste" good. Just wonderful.

  7. i like this one, and, much like everyone else, enjoyed reading it aloud. it has a very pleasing feel to it. there are also some strong, wonderful images. the flowers and the teacups are vivid.

  8. An elegant capture of two people sharing love and beauty in the morning. Life, light, fragrance, flowers, tea, breakfast all so precious when placed here in this fine verse.
